YF&R Leaders Conference

The YF&R Leaders Conference is an exceptional opportunity for young farmers, ranchers, and agriculturists from across the United States to gather in Manhattan. This event aims to equip participants with practical tools and resources that can add significant value to their daily agricultural practices. Attendees will have the chance to expand their professional networks and gain encouragement to navigate the challenges currently facing the agricultural sector. The conference is inclusive of all youth involved in agriculture, regardless of their specific roles—be it in crop production, livestock management, or off-farm activities. The primary goal is to empower young people to return to their communities with actionable knowledge and strategies that can lead to positive transformations for their farms, families, and local areas.Registration for the YF&R Leaders Conference includes access to various engaging activities such as the Friday Collegiate Lunch exclusively for Collegiate Farm Bureau members and advisors, a Friday Evening Reception with heavy appetizers and a cash bar, and a Saturday YF&R Networking Lunch. Attendees can also look forward to a Sunday Breakfast by Chris Cakes, alongside participation in general sessions, workshops, tours, and competitions. Notably, there will be opportunities to apply for prestigious awards, including the YF&R Excellence in Agriculture Award and the Young Farmer and Rancher of the Year award. Moreover, the conference will feature both YF&R and Collegiate Competitions, promoting engagement and recognition among young leaders in agriculture. While hotel arrangements are not included in the registration, Kansas Farm Bureau has negotiated affordable rates at five nearby hotels to facilitate convenient accommodation for attendees.
