State Leadership Conference for District Officers

The State Leadership Conference for District Officers (SLCDO) is a crucial biannual event aimed at training district FFA officers, occurring twice a year in spring and fall. This conference, hosted at the FFA Enrichment Center in Ankeny, United States, focuses on enhancing the capabilities of district leaders through a comprehensive curriculum designed to develop their officer duties. Participants engage in a two-day intensive training program that emphasizes key skills such as team development, presentation delivery, and relationship building among local, district, and state FFA entities.Supported by the Iowa FFA Foundation Gold Standard Partners and various educational and agricultural organizations, this event is instrumental in fostering leadership qualities and personal growth among participants. The Iowa FFA Association, which has been pivotal in agricultural education since its establishment by delegates from 23 schools in 1929, plays a fundamental role in directing and enhancing local agricultural education programs.
