The Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA) offers an extensive Western Herbalism Program designed to immerse students in the world of plant medicine through a comprehensive 745-hour curriculum. This program combines intuitive, spiritual, and energetic interpretations of herbalism with a focus on phytochemical science, ensuring a well-rounded education in the healing properties of plants. Students will gain hands-on experience in making herbal medicinal remedies while also delving into the theories that support these formulations. Graduates from this program find diverse roles in the herbalism field, serving as herbal remedy producers, guides for plant exploration, educators in herbal agriculture, chefs, and wellness coaches.SWIHA emphasizes entrepreneurial support for its students and graduates, incorporating business development courses tailored to holistic entrepreneurship within its diploma and degree programs. SWIHA also offers complimentary 4-hour Guest Passes for prospective students to experience a class of 8 hours or more.
