Conference on Real-Time Data Analysis, Methods, and Applications

The Conference on Real-Time Data Analysis, Methods, and Applications is a significant event hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, marking its 25th anniversary this year. This conference serves as a premier platform for leading researchers to converge and explore advancements in real-time economic analysis. The focus areas include nowcasting, high-frequency data, macro-econometrics, and macroeconomic policy, alongside innovative analysis techniques. Participants are encouraged to submit both empirical and theoretical papers covering a wide range of topics such as the monitoring and forecasting of economic and financial developments using diverse data types, including survey data and transactions data. Moreover, discussions on utilizing preliminary and revised data for economic policy formulation and the application of machine learning in real-time macroeconomics will be highlighted.Additionally, the conference is supported by the Philadelphia Fed's Mentoring and Advancing PhDs initiative, which offers a unique opportunity for Ph.D. students. A limited number of these students will be sponsored to attend the conference and present their research in a dedicated short session during the plenary. Interested candidates must submit a preliminary draft of their work along with a statement detailing how their participation aligns with their research goals. Funding for students will cover two nights of hotel accommodation as well as travel expenses up to $300.
