Bridge Conference

The Bridge Conference, hosted by School’s Out Washington, is an annual two-day event dedicated to professional growth, celebration, and advocacy for youth development in Washington state. This conference uniquely gathers a diverse range of participants, including grassroots program staff, organizational leaders, advocates, community members, and funders, creating a vibrant space for sharing knowledge and forming meaningful connections. The event emphasizes the importance of collective resilience and empowerment, asserting that individual growth is deeply intertwined with community strength. It champions the idea that true progress is achieved through shared effort and mutual support, fostering an environment where joy, culture, and connection are celebrated as integral components of community living.This year, the conference will highlight the significance of health, accessibility, and safety in youth development, acting as a resource guide for attendees. The Bridge Conference is particularly committed to amplifying the voices of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), ensuring that their perspectives are central to the event’s planning and execution. Last year, 70% of attendees identified as BIPOC, showcasing a broad representation from urban, suburban, and rural programs across 16 counties in Washington. With over 500 attendees expected, the conference promises engaging sessions, powerful keynote speakers, and valuable networking opportunities designed to inspire and propel collective action in the youth development field. The 2025 sponsors include notable organizations such as the King County Professional Learning System and Best Starts for Kids Expanded Learning Initiative, reflecting a strong commitment to supporting this essential work in the community.
