His career spans numerous roles, including being a regional training manager with the Virginia Department of Fire Programs and the Fire Chief at Richmond International Airport, where he oversaw various operational departments. As the founding partner of JRN Consulting, Jim continues to advise on airport operations, safety, and emergency services. With a strong background in training and leadership within the aviation safety community, he has significantly contributed to ARFF training and has been recognized as the 1998 Virginia Aviation Person of the Year.
