Workshop: The Dance of Diagnosis and Treatment in Acupuncture: Utilizing Tools from Manual Medicine

The upcoming workshop titled The Dance of Diagnosis and Treatment in Acupuncture: Utilizing Tools from Manual Medicine is designed for licensed health professionals, including licensed acupuncturists, osteopathic physicians, medical doctors, and other practitioners authorized to perform acupuncture. This event will take place in Santa Rosa, California, and promises to provide attendees with valuable insights and practical skills to enhance their acupuncture practice.

Participants will benefit from a comprehensive exploration of diagnostic and treatment methodologies that integrate manual medicine techniques into acupuncture.

Under the guidance of esteemed clinicians Dr. Daniel Bensky and Dr. Sandweiss, the workshop will cover essential approaches such as precise muscle testing as developed by Applied Kinesiology, Counterstrain, Muscle Energy Technique, and Myofascial Release. These techniques, particularly effective for addressing subacute or chronic musculoskeletal issues, will be demonstrated and discussed in relation to acupuncture points.

Attendees will also engage with tools from Engaging Vitality, including Qi Signal Assessment and Channel Listening, which aim to deepen their understanding of the acupuncture treatment process as a dynamic interplay between diagnosis, treatment, and results. This workshop is pending approval for Continuing Education Units (CEUs), allowing participants to earn up to 20 hours of CA acupuncture Cat 1 CEU credits and 18 Cat 1 credit hours for MDs and DOs.
