Valley Children's Business Fair

The Valley Children's Business Fair is an exciting community event designed to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs. Taking place in Huntsville Park, this unique one-day market allows children to take charge of their very own businesses, from brand development to product creation, marketing strategies, and customer interactions. The event is locally organized and supported by sponsors including Captain Crabby, Boon Ties, England Trucking, Valley Market, and the Acton School of Business, along with the invaluable assistance from volunteers dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship in youth.Children participating in the fair will have the opportunity to showcase their own businesses, encouraging them to think critically about essential business components such as product offerings, repayment of startup costs, and marketing strategies prior to the fair. Each young entrepreneur will be allocated a 10' x 10' space on the grassy area of the park, where they can set up their booths with tables, chairs, tents, and backdrops, but must refrain from using electricity or generators. The event aims to provide a hands-on experience, allowing kids to engage in selling their products or services directly to the public. While parents can assist with setup, it is crucial that children take responsibility for customer interactions and sales to ensure an authentic entrepreneurial experience.
