The Michigan Museums Association Conference

The Michigan Museums Association Conference will be held at the Auburn Hills Marriott Pontiac, bringing together museum professionals from various backgrounds and institutions across Michigan. The conference theme, 'Stronger Together: Empowering the Michigan Museum Community,' aims to promote collaboration and empowerment within the museum sector. The event features a call for proposals for concurrent sessions, which are one-hour long and can include panel discussions, mini-workshops, or interactive discussions.

This format encourages engagement, allowing presenters to connect with an audience of approximately 20-30 attendees from small, medium, and large museums.

Proposals for concurrent sessions are sought that align with the conference theme or explore a range of relevant content areas. Participants are encouraged to submit outlines of their sessions, detailing how their content connects to the theme and what attendees can expect to learn or gain from their experience. The Michigan Museums Association emphasizes the importance of presenters registering for the conference, ensuring a commitment to sharing valuable knowledge within the museum community.

This collaborative event is supported in part by funding from the Michigan Arts and Culture Council and the National Endowment for the Arts, highlighting its significance to the cultural landscape of Michigan.
