Tgwa Annual Convention

The TGWA Annual Convention is set to take place in San Marcos, Texas, offering a platform for professionals in the water well industry to gather, share insights, and promote their interests. This event will feature notable speakers from the Texas Ground Water Association (TGWA), which works diligently to support the welfare of Texas water well drillers and the broader water well industry.One of the prominent figures at the convention is Bobby, who became the first-ever full-time Executive Director of TGWA in January 2023. Bringing nearly a decade of experience from the Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District, where he served as the Water Resource Management Specialist, Bobby has a strong background in hydrology and water management. His previous role as a hydrologist with the U.S. Forest Service - Rocky Mountain Research Station further solidifies his expertise in the field. Bobby is an alumnus of Texas A&M University, holding a B.S. in Agricultural Systems Management and an M.S., and he is also a graduate of the Texas Water Foundation’s Texas Water Leaders Program.Another key speaker, Davis, joined TGWA in 2024 after a successful decade in journalism. With a rich background in reporting on water, agriculture, and business across several states including Texas, New Mexico, Wyoming, and Utah, her insightful articles have garnered recognition from multiple press associations. Davis's work encompasses critical topics such as the environmental impacts of the Gold King Mine spill, groundwater contamination, aquifer storage and recovery, and habitat conservation initiatives. She holds a B.A. in Communications from Brigham Young University. This convention promises to be an insightful gathering for all attendees, featuring discussions on current challenges and innovations within the water well industry.
