Brown, M.D., and Richard E. This esteemed organization consists of over 360 members, including eight Nobel Laureates and representatives from 23 member institutions. TAMEST comprises Texas-based members of the National Academies—the National Academy of Medicine, the National Academy of Engineering, and the National Academy of Sciences—along with other prestigious honorific organizations. The academy serves as a platform that unites the state's leading minds in medicine, engineering, science, and technology, fostering collaboration and promoting research, innovation, and business development in Texas. TAMEST's unique interdisciplinary model has proven to be an effective recruitment tool for top-tier research and development centers throughout the state. Since its inception, more than 325 TAMEST members have been inducted into the National Academies or have relocated to Texas, further enriching the academic and scientific landscape of the region.
