T-6 Focused Boot Camp

The T-6 Focused Boot Camp is an immersive training program aimed at equipping mechanics with the necessary skills and knowledge to maintain and care for North American Warbirds, specifically the T-6 aircraft. This week-long event will be hosted by Stallion 51 in Kissimmee, Florida, during the week of November 2-9, 2025. The program will be led by the esteemed instructor Paul Redlich from Stars & Bars Aircraft, who brings a wealth of experience and expertise in aircraft maintenance. Participants will engage in hands-on training that covers vital subjects related to T-6 maintenance, including engine systems, airframe systems, troubleshooting, and inspection processes, ensuring they receive a comprehensive understanding of the aircraft's operational requirements.The Boot Camp is designed for a diverse group of individuals, including professional mechanics, students in A&P schools, and volunteers involved in Warbird maintenance. The program seeks to build a community of skilled mechanics dedicated to preserving these historic aircraft. Applicants must submit a written recommendation from an NATA member, a personal letter of interest, and a resume highlighting their maintenance training and experience. The cost of participation is approximately $2,500, which includes accommodations, meals, and class costs, although transportation is not covered. For those unable to afford the fee, there are options for sponsorship or scholarships, supported by generous donations from NATA members.
