About
EducationSummer Global Women's Leadership Symposium
The Summer Global Women's Leadership Symposium is an interactive seminar dedicated to exploring issues of gender equity and fairness in leadership opportunities within social and economic structures. Hosted at the University of Riverside in Riverside County, United States, this symposium invites a diverse audience, including female professionals, students, and supporters of women's leadership, to engage with contemporary issues in women's studies.
Participants are encouraged to submit research papers or abstracts on a variety of topics that fall under the broader themes of women's leadership, such as market limitations on women's careers, glass ceilings in workplaces, and women in academia, among others. Each submission, which should be around 150-200 words, will undergo a peer review process for potential inclusion in a book of abstracts.
In addition to paper presentations, the symposium also welcomes proposals for panel discussions. These discussions will feature selected panelists who present differing perspectives on chosen topics, fostering a dynamic dialogue among participants. Panel discussions are encouraged to last around 90 minutes and should include three to five scholars, with a dedicated discussant to provide critical commentary.
The symposium accommodates remote participation for those unable to travel, allowing presentations via video conference, ensuring inclusivity for all contributors. All attendees, including presenters, panel participants, and session chairs, are required to register and pay applicable fees, with certificates of attendance awarded at the conclusion of the event.
The symposium emphasizes the importance of creating a supportive environment for discussing women's leadership and aims to inspire future generations of leaders.
