State Leadership Conference

The State Leadership Conference (SLC) is an important event held in Kearney, United States, designed specifically for high school students involved in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). This conference provides a unique opportunity for students to engage in competitive events, showcasing their skills among some of the best students in the state. In addition to the competitive events, the SLC features state officer elections and a series of informative leadership workshops tailored for both FBLA students and their advisers. Such engagement not only fosters leadership skills but also encourages networking among peers and professionals.Attendees can participate in various award nominations, including the Business of the Year and Businessperson of the Year, both of which have submission deadlines of January 20. The Star Volunteer Award and the Chapter Market Share Award are also available, with their respective forms due on the same date. Other significant awards include the Nebraska FBLA Scholarship Application deadline on February 1, the Golden Round Table Award due by February 11, and the Who's Who and Young Leader Awards, both due by March 1. Participants are encouraged to submit their National Anthem Audition Form by January 31. Furthermore, FBLA members are expected to adhere to the FBLA/CTSO Code of Conduct and complete necessary medical and photo release forms.The conference will also feature a President’s Etiquette Dinner scheduled for Friday, April 17, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, providing an opportunity for attendees to engage in professional dining etiquette. Additionally, advisers attending the conference are required to sign up for two assignments as part of their participation. A rooming list for chapters is due through the BluePanda SLC Registration system by February 11, and it will be shared with the Younes Hotel Management Staff on February 12. The Nebraska FBLA is supported financially by the Nebraska Center for Student Leadership at the Nebraska Department of Education.
