Spring Madison Leveraging Technology Academy

The Spring Madison Leveraging Technology Academy is an innovative professional learning program collaboratively sponsored by the Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials (WASBO), the Wisconsin Association of School District Administrators (WASDA), and the Association of Wisconsin School Administrators (AWSA). This academy aims to empower Wisconsin school and district leaders with essential knowledge, skills, and strategies to effectively and responsibly integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into educational settings. Held at the Wisconsin School Leadership Center in Madison, the academy combines in-person learning sessions with virtual check-ins and hands-on labs, focusing on practical applications of AI to enhance both system-level strategy and day-to-day administrative efficiency.Participants will engage collaboratively in teams of up to seven, ideally composed of key figures such as superintendents, business officials, curriculum leaders, tech directors, and principals. This format encourages diverse perspectives, with the inclusion of at least one school-level leader being necessary to ensure a comprehensive view of district and building dynamics. The academy offers structured opportunities for teams to assess their readiness, evaluate current practices, explore innovative AI tools, and develop tailored blueprints for sustainable AI integration specific to their districts. Attendees will benefit from expert coaching, access to templates, and opportunities to build, revise, and finalize their district AI plans. The focus on empowered leadership, administrative efficiency, and greater organizational alignment on emerging technologies ensures that leaders leave the academy with actionable plans that advance their districts' AI vision, ultimately enhancing student learning and staff development.
