Southwest Kansas Music Educators Association Mini-Convention

The Southwest Kansas Music Educators Association Mini-Convention is set to take place at the Dodge City Civic Center in Dodge, United States. This event highlights an array of educational opportunities for music educators, featuring various clinics and concerts tailored for different educational levels. Participants can expect to engage in a rich schedule that includes performances and workshops for middle school bands and orchestras, high school jazz bands, as well as choirs. Additionally, the event will host the NW/SW High School Orchestra Festival, offering a platform for students to showcase their talents. A participation fee of $15 is required for selected students in various categories, including middle school band, middle school orchestra, high school jazz band, high school band, and elementary choirs. The convention serves as an excellent opportunity for educators, particularly those in their first to fifth year of teaching, to seek advice and support from the KMEA Mentoring Team and the KMEA Small Schools Committee. Through this convention, attendees will benefit from networking with peers and gaining insights into music education.
