The Society of Engineering Science Conference returns to Purdue University in Lafayette, United States, marking a significant event in the engineering and scientific community. This annual Technical Meeting, which will be held from October 11-14, 2026, serves as an interdisciplinary forum for the exchange of ideas and information among various engineering disciplines, the physical and life sciences, as well as mathematics.
It aims to promote the development and strengthening of the interfaces between these fields, reflecting the mission of the Society of Engineering Science (SES) to foster cooperation and discussion among diverse scientific backgrounds.
This year, the conference will feature seven distinct scientific tracks including Biomechanics and Biomaterials; Composites and Advanced Manufacturing; Advanced Materials; Instability, Fracture, and Fatigue; Fluid Mechanics, Granular and Porous Media, and Complex Fluids; New Frontiers in Mechanics; and special symposia dedicated to medalists and award winners.
The conference co-chairs, both esteemed professors, express their excitement in welcoming engineers and scientists from around the globe back to the roots of this prestigious gathering, where it initially began in 1953 with the vision of Eringen. The event will continue to uphold the tradition of free exchange of information and ideas, a principle that has guided SES for over six decades.
