Attendees will learn about the unique challenges faced by surveyors in delineating these lands, including issues stemming from ambiguous instructions and a lack of clarity in legislation. The second course, 'Recovering from The Great Halifax Explosion of 1917' (Course# 11096), examines the aftermath of the largest non-nuclear explosion in history and its impact on Halifax. This session discusses the significant role of surveyors and planners, including the efforts of the Halifax Relief Committee, in the reconstruction of the city post-disaster. Dr. Joe Knetsch, a historian with extensive expertise in Florida history, will serve as the live onboard instructor. He brings a wealth of knowledge, having authored numerous publications and served various historical societies.Accommodations for this cruise include Deluxe Mini-Suites and Deluxe Balconies, with early bookings recommended to secure preferred cabins. Rates start at $2066 per person for Mini-Suites and $1846 for Balconies, based on double occupancy.
