Sarasota National Stamp Exhibition

The Sarasota National Stamp Exhibition (SNSE) is the longest-running national philatelic show in Florida, having begun over 70 years ago. This prestigious event, hosted by the Sarasota Philatelic Club, serves as a gathering point for collectors, dealers, and experts in the field of philately. As a World Series of Philately (WSP) event, it stands out as the largest show of its kind in the state. In 2027, due to renovations at the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium, the exhibition will be temporarily relocated to the Sahib Shrine Event Center in Sarasota, ensuring that attendees can continue to enjoy one of the premier national philatelic shows of the year.At the Sarasota National Stamp Exhibition, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with a variety of exhibits showcasing philatelic items from around the globe. The event features a booth staffed by retired dealers from the American Philatelic Society (APS) and the American Stamp Dealers Association (ASDA), along with past judges of the SNSE. These knowledgeable experts are available to provide free evaluations of personal stamp collections, whether they are inherited or collected over the years. They offer professional opinions without the intent to purchase, guiding individuals on whether to keep their collections as family heirlooms, place them in auction, donate them to charity, or sell them through one of the many dealers present at the show. The event is accessible with a modest entrance fee, and attendees can enjoy food, snacks, and drinks on site, making it a well-rounded experience for philately enthusiasts.
