San Diego Trades Day

The San Diego Trades Day is an engaging event designed to inspire local students to forge careers in the construction industry. Hosted at Palomar College in San Marcos, California, this event emphasizes the importance of hands-on experience in trade and industry. Participants from various sectors, including post-secondary education and training programs, are encouraged to take part in this unique opportunity to educate students about the construction field.

Attendees will have the chance to teach students how to build with their own hands or familiarize them with tools and equipment vital for their future careers.

This event is structured to maximize student engagement, with schools, youth groups, and individual students invited to register for two-hour blocks beginning every 30 minutes starting from 9:00 a.m. Each group will undergo a safety tailgate talk upon arrival, ensuring students are well-prepared for the activities inside the Exhibition Halls. Additionally, students are encouraged to bring their resumes for a valuable resume review session, allowing them to gain insights and feedback from industry professionals.

The event also offers a pre-assignment for students, which will be communicated to instructors two weeks prior, providing an overview of the exhibitors and activities they can expect at the Trades Day event.
