Rexburg Children's Business Fair

The Rexburg Children's Business Fair is a unique opportunity for children to immerse themselves in the world of entrepreneurship. Set against the backdrop of the Madison County Fairgrounds in Rexburg, this event encourages young minds to develop their very own startup businesses. Participants engage in a hands-on experience where they create a brand, design a product or service, and formulate a marketing strategy, ultimately culminating in a one-day marketplace where they can showcase their entrepreneurial skills.

With an expected attendance of around 1,500 visitors and featuring 115 young exhibitors, this fair stands as one of the largest entrepreneurship events for kids in North America.

Sponsored by Acton Academy and the Acton School of Business, the fair aims to inspire children to discover their inner entrepreneurs. The organizers believe that principled entrepreneurs, whether they are well-known figures like Elon Musk and Oprah Winfrey or local heroes, play a crucial role in their communities. The event not only allows children to display their businesses but also encourages them to think critically about essential business concepts such as startup costs, marketing strategies, and measuring success.

Parents are invited to support their children by helping them set up and interact with customers, but the responsibility for running the booth lies with the young entrepreneurs themselves. Each booth space is designed to be manageable, with a maximum size of 10'x10', and exhibitors are responsible for bringing their own materials, including tables and chairs.

The event promises to be an enriching experience for children and families alike, fostering a spirit of innovation and community involvement.
