RemTEC Summit

The PFAS Visualization and Modeling Workshop is an integral part of the RemTEC Summit hosted at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, United States. Keynote speakers include Dr. Grant Carey from Porewater Solutions, Dr. Rula Deeb and Dr. Mahsa Shayan from Geosyntec Consultants, and Dr. Shaily Mahendra from the University of California, Los Angeles, among others. Attendees will benefit from a series of presentations and discussions that delve into the complexities of PFAS contamination and innovative approaches to remediation.The workshop will feature multiple sessions covering a range of topics, such as the legal landscape and risks associated with corporate liability, the development of destructive technologies for PFAS remediation, and advances in analytical approaches for characterizing PFAS. Notable presentations include 'Characterizing Air Emissions During Destructive Treatment of PFAS-Impacted Materials' by Dr. Chris Higgins from Colorado School of Mines, and 'Mitigating the Risks of Incomplete Decontamination' by Dr. Ian Ross from CDM Smith. Networking breaks will be incorporated to facilitate discussions among attendees and experts, enhancing collaboration and knowledge sharing.
