Presidents Institute Human Horizons

The Presidents Institute Human Horizons is an esteemed gathering designed for independent college and university leaders, held at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. This event draws over 300 presidents of independent institutions, alongside nearly 750 participants including presidential spouses and partners, industry sponsors, and retired presidents. The Institute aims to reimagine the role of human values amidst the challenges posed by economic and technological change, emphasizing health, creativity, relationships, and integrated knowledge. The main program for presidents will take place from January 4 to January 7, while a parallel program for spouses and partners will occur concurrently.Preceding the main event, the New Presidents Program (NPP) offers essential resources and support for presidents in their first or second year at an independent college or university. This program, scheduled for January 3 to January 4, includes a similar initiative for the spouses and partners of new presidents, focusing on collaboration and personal growth. The NPP equips new leaders with practical tools and wise counsel to navigate their early tenure effectively, fostering community through both formal and informal interactions. Additionally, participants will engage in interactive workshops aimed at addressing the financial challenges faced by institutions, ensuring they leave with strategies to manage economic instability. The event also provides exclusive benefits for CIC members, including discounted registration rates and access to a range of services.
