PLC at Work Institute

The PLC at Work Institute is an immersive three-day event taking place at the Pasadena Convention Center, aimed at providing educators with the tools and knowledge necessary for implementing Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) effectively. This institute is designed for a diverse audience including teachers, coaches, and school leaders, focusing on enhancing student achievement through collaborative efforts and sustained school improvement practices.

Attendees will have access to four powerful keynote speakers, each bringing their expertise to explore critical themes such as shared leadership, the impact of a strong school culture, and practical strategies for fostering a collaborative environment. Among the esteemed speakers are Tim Brown, a recognized expert in aligning school improvement efforts; Dr.

Anthony Muhammad, an influential author and thought leader on school culture; and Michelle Marrillia, who brings a wealth of experience in training coaches and developing teacher leaders. Other notable presenters include Dr. Cruz, a veteran educator with over 30 years of experience, and Sarah Schuhl, who specializes in mathematics education and professional learning communities.

Participants will engage deeply with the three big ideas of PLCs: a focus on learning, a collaborative culture, and results orientation, gaining actionable insights to transform their schools and districts into effective learning environments. The event also includes opportunities for networking with fellow educators and sharing best practices to ensure that every student achieves high levels of learning.

Additionally, attendees will have access to resources such as the Solution Tree Book Co-op, offering discounts on educational materials to enhance their professional development experience.
