The theme for this year’s symposium is Persistent Presence: Operating at Scale in the New Maritime Era. This theme underscores the shift from occasional maritime missions to a model of continuous presence in ocean operations, made possible by advances in robotics, sensors, communications, and data analytics. The symposium will delve into the challenges and solutions associated with deploying and sustaining maritime technologies at operational scale.

Key discussions will revolve around the necessary systems, infrastructure, and partnerships that facilitate persistent presence, with implications for maritime security, critical infrastructure protection, ocean science advancement, and the overall growth of the blue economy. A panel of expert speakers will lead discussions on crucial topics such as transitioning from episodic missions to continuous operations, enhancing maritime security, and fostering collaboration among industry, government, and research communities.

This symposium is an essential gathering for anyone interested in exploring the future of maritime operations and technology.
