NYACP Abstract Competition

The NYACP Abstract Competition invites abstracts from Residents, Fellows, and Medical Students within New York State. Accepted abstracts will be showcased at the Annual Scientific Meeting Poster Competition, where participants will present their posters to a panel of judges. The top poster presentation winners in each category will earn a coveted spot in the ACP's National Competition scheduled for April 2027. To qualify, participants must be either ACP Resident members enrolled in an Internal Medicine Residency or Fellowship Training program in New York State, or Medical Student members currently attending a New York State-approved Medical or Osteopathic School with an active rotation through a hospital in New York State.Submission guidelines require that each abstract is limited to 450 words, with a processing fee of $30 for every abstract submitted. Participants may submit a maximum of two abstracts, with each requiring a separate payment. It is critical that the abstract undergoes a review by the Program Director or Clerkship Director to ensure compliance with formatting and language standards. Following payment, participants will receive a link to the abstract submission form, which must be filled out with exact billing information to avoid decline. Important note: edits are not permitted after submission, and any errors must be corrected prior to submission. If a revision is necessary, it will be treated as a new entry, necessitating an additional processing fee. The event will take place at The Desmond Hotel Albany in Albany, New York.
