The NSGIC Annual Conference is a premier event aimed at enhancing geospatial excellence and fostering collaboration among state, local, tribal, and federal GIS policymakers, coordinators, private sector partners, and other leaders in the geospatial ecosystem. Scheduled to take place at The Skirvin Hilton in Oklahoma City, this conference will provide critical networking opportunities, allowing participants to connect, collaborate, and share insights with colleagues and partners in the field.
As part of the conference, an open call for abstracts for live plenary content has been announced for the 2026 NSGIC Annual Conference, with selections made on a competitive basis. Special consideration will be given to presentations from state representatives and those from private sector partners that demonstrate collaboration with state entities or feature panel discussions including state representatives.
Additionally, all NSGIC members in good standing are encouraged to submit nominations for the Geospatial Excellence Awards in various categories. To support NSGIC state representatives facing funding challenges, the organization is offering limited conference grants aimed at covering reasonable travel expenses, hotel accommodations, and/or conference registration fees.
Attendees can also look forward to the popular Sticker Swap event, providing a fun way to engage with fellow participants.
