National Summit on Improvement in Education

The National Summit on Improvement in Education is set to take place at the High Tech High Graduate School of Education in San Diego, bringing together educators, leaders, and changemakers in a collaborative effort to enhance instructional practices across the nation. This year, the summit is jointly hosted with Deeper Learning 2027, creating a unique opportunity for attendees to engage with a diverse range of activities designed to foster bold ideas and effective learning strategies that can make a significant impact on student outcomes. The Summit 27 registration grants full access to both events, allowing participants to immerse themselves in a week filled with dynamic interactions and collective learning. Participants can expect to engage in a variety of formats including 60 or 90-minute interactive workshops, 75-minute improvement reviews, and poster sessions that spotlight innovative work in education. The conference is organized around three key strands: Getting Results, Improvement Methods, and Leading Improvement, all aimed at driving systemic change in educational settings. Attendees will be auto-assigned to the Improvement track but can freely choose from a selection of DL27 sessions that align with their interests. Each day of the summit has been meticulously designed to build on the previous day's learnings, with Day 1 focused on uniting the community, Day 2 centering on developing improvement capacity, and Day 3 dedicated to putting new ideas into practice. The event will also feature a variety of social and networking opportunities, including waterfront receptions and informal conversations with thought leaders in the field.
