MNAFEE Annual Conference

The Minnesota Association for Family and Early Education (MNAFEE) is dedicated to fostering strong families and communities through its annual conference, held at the St. Cloud River’s Edge Convention Center in Saint Cloud, United States. With a legacy spanning over two decades, MNAFEE has played a significant role in supporting parent education, Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE), and early childhood programming within Minnesota's public schools.

The conference coincides with the Week of the Young Child, a national initiative that highlights the needs of young children and their families while honoring the educators, caregivers, and program leaders who devote their efforts to this vital cause. This week serves as a reminder of the critical nature of early childhood education, a period marked by rapid brain development that lays the groundwork for lifelong learning and health.

During this conference, MNAFEE aims to highlight the immense contributions of early childhood educators and the essential role families play in shaping children's learning experiences. The event also celebrates the career of Sue Stoner, a notable figure in the field whose leadership and commitment have transformed professional development opportunities for educators, leaving a lasting impact on the community.

The conference seeks to address the emotional challenges faced by early childhood professionals and families, emphasizing the importance of safety, stability, and belonging in educational environments. MNAFEE advocates for inclusive early childhood and family education programs, reinforcing the notion that no child or family should live in fear. Additionally, the newly available Parent Education Core Curriculum Framework (PECCF) will be introduced, providing a structured approach for parent educators to enhance their curriculum and meet diverse family needs.

Volunteers play a crucial role in MNAFEE’s mission, and the organization welcomes contributions from all individuals passionate about early childhood education. This annual conference promises to be a significant event for educators, parents, and advocates dedicated to fostering strong communities and supporting the future of Minnesota’s children.
