MASC Convention

The MASC Convention, hosted at the Ocean City Convention Center in the United States, is designed to offer an enriching experience for student leaders from across Maryland. This event serves as a platform for students to engage in various activities aimed at enhancing their leadership skills. Highlights of the convention include a nationally recognized motivational speaker who will lead grade-level workshops, as well as student-led leadership workshops that promise to be both exciting and meaningful. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with fellow student leaders from around the state, participate in team-building exercises, and engage in get-to-know-you activities throughout the event. Schools are encouraged to register an equal number of non-voting delegates, with the responsibility of registration resting solely on school SGA advisors as authorized agents. Each school will also have the chance to showcase their best project or activity, allowing them to share successful ideas with others and gain inspiration from different institutions. These presentations will be highlighted during the General Assemblies. Furthermore, the convention emphasizes school spirit with themed dress days, including school spirit wear and MASC convention t-shirts. Attendees are reminded to prepare for various logistical requirements, such as providing Maryland Sales Tax Exemption information to the hotel and ensuring that all emergency forms for students are on hand. The convention promises to be a valuable experience for all participants, fostering growth, collaboration, and a sense of community among student leaders.
