This event, now in its 25th edition, is designed to provide education and networking experiences that significantly enhance professional development within the iron and steel industry.Attendees will benefit from a workshop-based training seminar that offers hands-on instruction on essential topics such as mechanical, electrical, lubrication, hydraulics, management system maintenance, and reliability solutions. The agenda will also cover maintenance and outage planning, system design, as well as maintenance troubleshooting techniques. This focus on manufacturing reliability underscores its integral role in promoting sustainability within the metals industry, with an emphasis on improving equipment maintenance programs. The conference is tailored for a diverse audience, including maintenance, operations, and engineering personnel, as well as middle management and frontline supervisors.In addition to the technical sessions, AIST has introduced the 'Bring Your Own Young Professional' (BYOYP) program to encourage the involvement of the next generation in the steel industry. Members who bring a young professional (aged 30 and under) to the conference will receive a complimentary gift. Each participant will also receive a certificate indicating the quantity of professional development hours (PDH) earned during the course, although it’s important to note that this particular course is not approved for PDH credits in certain states.
