Lovebug's Children's Business Fair in Houston/Spring Branch is an exciting opportunity for children to launch their very own startup businesses. This annual event, hosted at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, serves as a one-day marketplace where kids can develop a brand, create handmade products or services, and build a marketing strategy to showcase their entrepreneurial skills. The fair, which has reached its 10th edition, provides a platform for up to 60 booths featuring young entrepreneurs from 1st grade to 12th grade, allowing a maximum of three kids per business. Participants are encouraged to think critically about their business ideas, including how to finance their startup and promote their products effectively. This engaging atmosphere not only inspires creativity but also instills a sense of responsibility and business acumen in children.Sponsored by Acton Academy, the Acton School of Business, Holy Cross Lutheran Church, and supported by generous donors and volunteers, the event aims to foster the idea that principled entrepreneurs are heroes and role models for future generations. Children will have the chance to learn from the experiences of other young entrepreneurs, engage in games that sharpen their business skills, and even participate in a competition designed to recognize outstanding ideas and efforts. Each booth is allocated on a first-come, first-pick basis, and while the fair promotes creativity, it also imposes strict guidelines: all products must be handmade, and parents can assist only by overseeing younger children in their booths.
