The Labor Law & Labor Arbitration Conference is set to take place at the Seattle Convention Center, a modern venue located in the heart of Seattle, known for its accessibility to popular restaurants, attractions, and nightlife. This comprehensive conference brings together some of the nation’s leading labor arbitrators to address pressing labor law and arbitration issues relevant to both labor and management professionals. The event is designed to blend legal theory with practical application, enabling participants to evaluate effective strategies, craft persuasive arguments, and navigate workplace disputes proficiently.Attendees will benefit from a diverse range of learning formats, including lectures, panel discussions, and analyses of recent arbitration decisions. The esteemed faculty consists of five distinguished labor arbitrators, each with decades of experience and a strong commitment to teaching. Among them is a labor arbitrator and law professor from Southwestern Law School, a notable arbitrator from the West Coast with a background in both corporate and large law firm labor law, and a former labor attorney who has served as an umpire under various major labor agreements. Additionally, there is an arbitrator and mediator with extensive labor and employment law experience, who also teaches at Cornell ILR School. Participants are encouraged to engage actively throughout the conference, asking questions and interacting with faculty members. Furthermore, the conference offers opportunities for continuing education credits. Legal professionals and HR practitioners may qualify for CLE credits, with the program being potentially eligible for accreditation in various states. Additionally, it has been approved for 7 PDCs towards SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP recertification, as well as for 7 HR (General) recertification credit hours through the HR Certification Institute (HRCI).
