The Kings Academy Acton Children's Business Fair is an exciting one-day marketplace in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, designed to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit in children. This event provides a unique platform for children to launch their very own businesses, guiding them through the process of developing a brand, creating a product or service, and building a marketing strategy. Sponsored by Acton Academy, along with the generous support of donors and volunteers, this fair emphasizes the importance of principled entrepreneurship, showcasing children as the heroes and role models for future generations. Over the years, the Acton Children's Business Fair has grown significantly from its humble beginnings in 2007 in Austin, Texas, where it started with just seven entrepreneurs and 25 attendees, to now hosting around 36 exhibitors and welcoming approximately 1,500 visitors in Tyrone.At the fair, each business, limited to a maximum of three participants, is provided with a booth that includes an 8-foot table (shared with another business), full-cover tenting, and one to two chairs. However, it is important to note that the event does not accommodate businesses requiring electricity. The primary focus of the fair is to allow children to experience the thrill of selling their own products or services, with the expectation that they take charge of setting up their booths, interacting with customers, and handling sales. Parents of younger participants may assist, but the initiative is meant to foster independence and responsibility in young entrepreneurs. The Acton Children's Business Fair stands as the largest entrepreneurship event for children in North America, inspiring creativity and innovation among the youth, while also allowing them to learn valuable lessons about business and community engagement.
