IPA Goes Local

IPA Goes Local is an initiative designed to enhance learning and networking for pharmacy professionals, with a strong emphasis on local engagement. This program is established in collaboration with Iowa's regional pharmacy associations, providing a tailored educational experience for IPA members. Each event in the series focuses on practical applications and real-world solutions for pharmacists and their teams.

A key feature of this event is the SOC Playbook, which is a working session aimed at transitioning ideas from conceptual discussions to actionable steps. Participants will gain insights into standard of care (SOC) building blocks, with a comprehensive overview of the resources available through the Pharmacy Practice Standards Institute (PPSI). Attendees can look forward to engaging in peer-to-peer roundtables that will tackle the practical challenges associated with implementing pharmacy services.

This collaborative environment is designed for pharmacists to share questions and solutions, ultimately leaving with a clear implementation checklist to guide their next 30 days. Furthermore, participants will learn how PPSI resources can facilitate practice transformation and explore shared solutions to common barriers faced in the field. Additional features of the event include advocacy insights during Pharmacy Day on the Hill, discussions on pharmacy law, and opportunities for student pharmacists to develop their leadership skills during the Student Pharmacist Leadership Conference.

The event also supports student scholarships, making it a well-rounded opportunity for both current practitioners and aspiring pharmacists.
