International Law Weekend

The International Law Weekend is set to take place at the New York City Hall, bringing together legal professionals and academics from across the United States. This event, organized by the American Branch of the International Law Association, focuses on critical issues surrounding international law, including the formation of rules of customary international law, gender justice in international law, and the intersection of international law with environmental and energy law.

Participants will engage in discussions about the role of international law in shaping domestic courts, the legitimacy of legal principles, and the contemporary challenges posed by crimes against humanity.

The event aims to foster an enriching dialogue on the reconfiguration of the global order as influenced by international law, particularly in relation to China. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from esteemed speakers and experts in the field, contributing to a deeper understanding of the evolving landscape of international legal practices. This gathering is particularly designed for lawyers, but it also welcomes a broader audience interested in the implications of international law on various societal issues.
