Go Winter Expo

The Go Winter Expo is an annual event held at the Carlson Center in Fairbanks, Alaska, aimed at helping attendees navigate the winter months in a healthy, safe, and enjoyable manner. The event also features the Interior Alaska Gun Show, which has been a popular component of the Expo since its addition in 2013. This gun show, initiated in 2011, is the most widely attended in the Interior region and supports the Alaska Fish and Wildlife Conservation Association in promoting wildlife, habitat, and hunting opportunities throughout the state.The Go Winter Expo is set to attract approximately 3,700 attendees, with over 100 participating businesses expected to showcase their products and services. The event features more than 80 tables dedicated to firearms, hunting, fishing, survival, and outdoor sporting pursuits, with vendors coming from Fairbanks, North Pole, and even as far as the Kenai Peninsula. The Expo is an excellent marketing opportunity for businesses looking to engage with winter enthusiasts and promote their offerings. With a nominal admission fee of $5 (free for children under 12 and military personnel on Sunday with ID), the Expo also encourages contributions to the local Food Bank by allowing free admission to those who bring two cans of food on Sunday. The event's advertising budget is significant, with plans to spend $7,000 on promotional efforts, supplemented by media co-sponsors to elevate the total to nearly $10,000. Attendees can expect a well-organized venue with necessary amenities, including pipe and drape partitions, electrical outlets, tables, and chairs.
