Eastman Leadership Conference

The Eastman Leadership Conference is an immersive and intensive program hosted at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, designed specifically for current and aspiring leaders in music education. Celebrating the Institute for Music Leadership's 30th anniversary, this conference brings together a select group of 30 participants, including deans, associate and assistant deans, department chairs, and faculty or staff members from music schools who are either in leadership positions or are aspiring to them.

The primary focus of the conference is to enhance leadership effectiveness and develop essential skills and tools necessary for navigating the evolving landscape of modern music education. Participants will engage in hands-on workshops, intensive study sessions, and vibrant discussions within the modern and accommodating spaces of the Miller Center.

The program not only emphasizes specific learning objectives but also fosters networking opportunities through a series of organized lunches, dinners, and cocktail events. Attendees will experience the culinary delights of downtown Rochester, with several dining options within walking distance and others accessible via shuttle services. Transportation to local venues and back to hotels is provided, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants.
