Eastern Leadership Academy Conference

The Eastern Leadership Academy Conference is a premier event designed for state and provincial officials from the CSG Eastern Region. Taking place at The Inn At Penn A Hilton Hotel in Philadelphia, this event gathers 30 selected officials from various branches of government for a transformative leadership experience. The program is meticulously crafted to enhance leadership and communication skills through hands-on workshops, dynamic speakers, and networking opportunities with peers across the Eastern Region.

Participants will engage in critical training sessions that cover essential topics like media relations, negotiation, consensus-building, and effective communication strategies. This unique opportunity not only allows attendees to refine their leadership abilities but also fosters connections among emerging leaders in state government. The curriculum is enriched by insights from scholars at the Fels Institute of Government and experienced practitioners, ensuring relevance to the pressing public policy challenges faced by state officials today.

The Academy is tailored for legislators, legislative staff, and officials from the executive and judicial branches, particularly those in the early-to-mid stages of their careers. The selection committee will prioritize applicants based on their leadership potential, commitment to improving government institutions, and respect for state governance.

Participants can expect a comprehensive experience that includes room and board, meals, and program fees, while they are responsible only for transportation to and from the venue. This academy stands as a hallmark of leadership training in the region, aiming to cultivate the next generation of informed and effective government leaders.
