DoW/VA & Government Health IT Summit

The DoW/VA & Government Health IT Summit is a pivotal gathering designed to enhance the delivery of patient-centered healthcare for military members and Veterans. This esteemed summit, now in its 29th iteration, aims to unite leaders from the Department of War (DoW), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), federal government, and industry stakeholders to discuss advancements in health information technology (HIT). By focusing on improving interoperability, accessibility, affordability, and resiliency in Veteran and military healthcare, the summit seeks to modernize military healthcare systems to ensure continuity of care from active duty through retirement.Keynote speakers at the summit include prominent figures such as LTG Mary Izaguirre, USA, the DO Surgeon General of the US Army, and Lt Gen John DeGoes, MD, USAF, the Surgeon General of the Air Force and Space Force. Other notable speakers include Hon Paul Friedrichs, Maj Gen (Ret), MD, who serves as an Adjunct Professor at USUHS and a Senior Adviser at the Global Health Policy Center, CSIS, and various executives from the Department of Veterans Affairs and Defense Health Agency.
