District Convention

The District Convention is a hallmark event hosted at the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort in Myrtle Beach, United States, where business discussions and celebratory activities converge. This year’s convention emphasizes engagement with leadership opportunities for Circle K members. Individuals interested in serving on the District Board are encouraged to step forward, with candidacy open to members who have fulfilled their District and International dues and belong to a club in good standing. There will be a presentation detailing each position available on the Board, allowing potential candidates to better understand where they may best contribute. A caucus for candidates is scheduled for Friday night and Saturday following the opening session, with additional caucus time potentially available during the House of Delegates session, should delegates request it.Recognizing the hard work and dedication of Circle K clubs, several awards are set to be presented during the convention. The Society of Distinguished Collegians honors members who excel in academics and community service, while the Carolinas CKI Honorary Member Award recognizes individuals from Kiwanis International for their outstanding contributions. Clubs are also encouraged to submit nominations for a range of awards, including the prestigious Club Achievement Award, which acknowledges excellence in club operations across various domains such as service projects and leadership development. Other notable awards include the Hennig Single Service Project Award, the Interclub Award, and the Vic Vickery Outstanding Sponsoring Kiwanis Club Award, all aimed at promoting collaboration and high standards among clubs.Moreover, individual achievements will also be celebrated with awards like the Dr. Adams Outstanding Faculty Advisor Award and the Robert G. Prongay Distinguished Member Award, which recognizes an exceptional Circle K member for their commitment and enthusiasm. Leadership roles within the clubs are also acknowledged through awards for Outstanding Club President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Committee Chair, each highlighting the unique contributions individuals make toward their club's success. Additionally, clubs demonstrating creativity and engagement through initiatives such as scrapbook creation and promotional video contests will be recognized. The convention culminates in the presentation of special awards based on enthusiasm, spirit, service hours, and improvements from the previous year, reflecting the vibrant and dynamic nature of the Circle K community.
