About
EducationDFW Acton Children's Business Fair
The DFW Acton Children's Business Fair is a dynamic event held at the Frisco Fresh Market in Frisco, Texas, aimed at fostering entrepreneurial spirit among children aged 5 to 13. This unique fair serves as the culmination of the Entrepreneurship Quest at Acton Academy Frisco, where young learners not only showcase their startups but also inspire their peers to explore their entrepreneurial potential.
With a visitor count of approximately 1,500 and featuring 115 young exhibitors, the fair stands out as North America's largest entrepreneurship event for kids, providing a platform for children to launch their very own businesses.
At the fair, participants will operate their own booths, selling products or services that they have created, thus gaining invaluable experience in business operations. Each business will be provided with a table and a chair, although parents are reminded that children should take the lead in setup, customer interactions, and sales to ensure a genuine entrepreneurial experience.
The fair emphasizes the importance of self-reliance, encouraging children to think critically about their business plans, including product offerings, marketing strategies, and success metrics. Since its inception in 2007, when it started with just seven entrepreneurs and 25 attendees in Austin, the Acton Children’s Business Fair has grown significantly, reflecting the increasing interest in nurturing young entrepreneurs.
This year's event marks the sixth edition of this inspiring fair, where children can learn, innovate, and engage with the community.
