Communal Studies Association Annual Conference

The Communal Studies Association Annual Conference is an important interdisciplinary gathering for individuals engaged in intentional communities, historic site personnel, and academics from a variety of fields including history, anthropology, religious studies, sociology, and political science. This esteemed conference will take place at the historic Oneida Community Mansion House in Oneida, NY. It serves as a platform for sharing scholarly research and discussions surrounding the rich tapestry of communal living and its historical significance.

Attendees at the conference will have the opportunity to engage with peers, learn from distinguished speakers, and explore new research presented by leading experts in the field. The conference not only focuses on communal history but also aims to strengthen the Communal Studies Association’s journal, which is seeking qualified peer reviewers to evaluate articles for potential publication.

This initiative emphasizes the importance of scholarly collaboration, providing support to both emerging scholars and seasoned academics in the communal studies domain. Additionally, the CSA encourages members and organizations to contribute their work, collections, photographs, and brief histories to be showcased on their social media platforms, enhancing the community's visibility and engagement.
