Colorado State Thespian Conference

The Colorado State Thespian Conference is Colorado's premier educational theatre conference, specifically designed for high school students. This engaging event takes place at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, bringing together high school troupes from across the state and even from Utah. The conference is a weekend-long celebration of theatre, featuring a variety of performances, workshops, and networking opportunities that aim to enhance students' theatrical skills and foster connections within the performing arts community.

Participants can look forward to a weekend filled with active theatre workshops tailored for high school students. Each student, along with their chaperones, has the opportunity to select from nine different workshop and Individual Event/Thespys sessions, although pre-registration is required for Individual Event performance opportunities, which may incur additional fees.

The conference not only emphasizes the importance of educational theatre but also highlights its significant role in supporting Colorado's creative sector, which is the fifth largest economic industry in the state. All public, private, and charter high schools in Colorado and Utah are invited to join the excitement, regardless of whether they have an official Thespian troupe.

Students wishing to attend must do so as registered participants of their respective schools, as individual registrations by parents or non-affiliated adults are not permitted. Registration details indicate that schools can register their students, and there are additional fees for late registration, which is available until November 20. The event encourages new schools to participate, aiming to share the joy and enthusiasm surrounding high school theatre. With a focus on collaboration and learning, the conference promises to be an enriching experience for all attendees.
