About
EducationThe Children's Museum of the Highlands is excited to host the 4th annual Children's Business Fair Festival, a unique opportunity for children aged 4 to 17 to launch their own startup businesses. This one-day market setting allows young entrepreneurs to showcase their creativity and business acumen. Participants will develop their business ideas, create products or services, and learn essential marketing strategies, culminating in a vibrant festival atmosphere. The fair is set to run alongside the annual Pumpkin Fall Festival, enhancing the festive experience with free games, activities, and crafts for families attending the event. Powered by Insight Auctioneers and sponsored by the Sebring Elks Lodge 1529, the fair also includes a series of Learning Workshops aimed at guiding children through the entrepreneurial process. These workshops will cover various topics, including business planning, logo creation, and basic financial practices, ensuring that all registrants are well-prepared for their entrepreneurial journey.Participants will be provided with a designated booth space, measuring approximately 12x12, and are responsible for their own setup, including tables, tents, and chairs. The fair will take place outdoors, with the street closed to vehicles, allowing for a safe and engaging environment for young vendors. Vendors will operate from 12 noon to 3 pm, and all booths must be ready by noon. Judges will visit each booth during the fair to evaluate the children's businesses based on various criteria, with awards presented in age categories at the end of the event. The Children's Business Fair Festival aims to inspire children and help them explore their interests and hobbies through the process of creating and selling their products. The event encourages children to take ownership of their businesses, with the expectation that they will engage with customers and manage sales themselves, promoting valuable life skills and entrepreneurial spirit. The Children's Museum of the Highlands is dedicated to providing an enriching experience for all young entrepreneurs, ensuring their participation in this exciting festival is both educational and fun.
