Children Come First Conference

The Children Come First Conference is a premier event held at Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in Wisconsin Dells, United States. This conference has evolved from a grassroots gathering into Wisconsin’s most inclusive children’s mental health conference, attracting approximately 700 visitors annually. It serves as a vital platform for caregivers, educators, mental health professionals, and system partners to come together, share knowledge, strengthen partnerships, and ultimately improve outcomes for children across the state. Hosted by Children Come First Connections LLC, the conference continues the legacy of the previous organization, Wisconsin Family Ties, ensuring that the experiences and needs of families remain at the forefront of professional practice and system design. With 35 exhibitors participating, attendees have the opportunity to explore a variety of resources and services aimed at enhancing support systems for children and families. The conference emphasizes collaboration across sectors, including mental health, education, healthcare, and social services, underlining the importance of inclusive practices that empower every child and family. It is also an approved event for Continuing Education Hours (CEHs) by NASW-Wisconsin Chapter, catering to the professional development needs of social workers and other attendees.
