Capital District Kiwanis Midyear Conference

The Capital District Kiwanis Midyear Conference is set to take place at the Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. This event promises an engaging atmosphere filled with fellowship, educational workshops, inspiring speakers, and a service project designed to benefit the community. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with fellow Kiwanis members, participate in various sessions, and enjoy a range of activities, including a Dive-In Movie featuring Disney’s The Parent Trap.Keynote presentations will include insights from prominent figures such as Governor Katie Pajewski and Club Building Chairperson Jen Wolff, who will lead discussions on enhancing club dynamics. Additionally, KCF Trustee Jeffrey Wolff will present on the Kiwanis Children’s Fund and its impactful initiative, The Possibility Project. The conference will also feature critical meetings such as the Lt. Governors Meeting for the 2025-26 & 2026-27 terms and the National Capital Region Trustee Election. Open to all attendees, the Governor's Reception and Ticketed Governor's Dinner offer further opportunities for networking and celebration. Participants can register for the entire weekend or opt for a la carte attendance for specific sessions. Notably, couples who are both Kiwanis members will need to register separately. The conference will also include a fun Friday After-Dinner Firepit and S’mores Activity, available for an additional cost. This year’s conference underscores Kiwanis’ commitment to community service, highlighted by a recent donation of $4,000 made by the Capital District Kiwanis Foundation to the Carilion Children’s Hospital, supporting one of the eleven pediatric trauma centers annually funded by Kiwanis. Registration for the conference will close on February 20, 2026, with hotel accommodations available until February 12, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa And Marina, where attendees can enjoy a special negotiated rate.
