Beyond Horse Massage Weekend Course

The Beyond Horse Massage Weekend Course offers an immersive experience into the Masterson Method®, designed for those who wish to deepen their understanding and skills in equine bodywork. This hands-on course is ideal for horse owners, trainers, and therapists looking to enhance their communication and relationship with horses through effective massage techniques. Participants will gain insights into recognizing and using the horse's visual responses to touch in order to alleviate accumulated stress in critical areas of the horse's body that directly affect its performance. Throughout the course, horses will be provided for practice, allowing students to apply learned techniques in real-time. The curriculum is structured over two days, with the first day focusing on techniques to release tension in the poll, neck, and shoulder junctions. The day includes hands-on practice with immediate feedback from instructors, fostering an interactive learning environment. Key techniques, such as the Bladder Meridian Technique, will be demonstrated, followed by group discussions to review results and clarify any questions. On the second day, the course continues with a focus on the back, sacro-iliac, and sacro-lumbar junctions. Students will practice all techniques on a new set of horses, ensuring they gain comprehensive experience in a full bodywork session. To participate, students must complete prerequisites including reading the Beyond Horse Massage book and viewing the accompanying video. This ensures that all participants arrive with the foundational knowledge necessary for the practical components of the course. It is important to note that students will not work on their own horses during the seminar but will be equipped to apply the skills learned to their horses afterward.
