Beaver Chapter of SWANA Symposium

The Beaver Chapter of SWANA Symposium is an annual event organized by the Beaver, Evergreen, and Pacific Chapters of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA). This collaborative effort has been bringing solid waste specialists together for over 30 years, creating a sense of community among professionals from both public and private sectors across the Pacific Northwest. Each year, the symposium is hosted by a different chapter, rotating its location to renew connections among attendees. This year's symposium is held at the historic McMenamins Edgefield in Troutdale, Oregon. The venue is a 74-acre parcel of farmland located at the mouth of the Columbia River Gorge Scenic Area, featuring a stately main building adorned with turn-of-the-century decor and offering over 100 guestrooms and hostel accommodations. Attendees can enjoy local fare, handcrafted ales, wines, and spirits from the various pubs and restaurants on site. The Edgefield also boasts a par-three golf course, a spa, extensive gardens, and a movie theater, providing ample opportunities for relaxation and socializing. The event includes engaging presentations on vital industry topics, making it an excellent opportunity for professionals to gather, learn, and network.
