AZ Children's Business Fair

The AZ Children's Business Fair is a unique event held at Arcadia Park in Phoenix, where children aged 6 to 14 years old can launch their very own startup business. This one-day marketplace provides young entrepreneurs with the opportunity to develop a brand, create a product or service, and build a marketing strategy. Sponsored by New Learning Ventures, Acton Academy Phoenix, Phoenix Modern, and the Acton School of Business, along with the generous support of donors and volunteers, the fair aims to cultivate principled entrepreneurs who can serve as role models for future generations. The event celebrates the spirit of entrepreneurship, encouraging children to learn from both famous entrepreneurs and local business owners who contribute to their communities.Participants are invited to showcase their businesses, with no more than three participants allowed per business. Each young entrepreneur must consider essential elements of their business, such as product offerings, repayment of startup costs, and marketing strategies, while gaining valuable insights through games and stories of other young entrepreneurs. Each business is provided with a booth featuring a 6-foot table, tenting, and chairs, with options for electricity available at an additional cost. The fair emphasizes that children should take charge of their business activities, with parents being supportive but not directly involved in selling or promoting products. The Acton Children's Business Fair, which originated in Austin, Texas in 2007 with just a handful of entrepreneurs, has now grown to feature thousands of young participants worldwide, furthering its mission to inspire a sense of wonder and entrepreneurship among children.
